What Comes After Love (2024) - Episode 6 Review & Recap

Some love stories end suddenly, without warning. These are the kinds of relationships that could have been saved if they were only talked through before leading to a breakup. This is what What Comes After Love Episode 6 taught me. It took Jungo and Hong five years to settle their breakup, as both needed closure. But, in the end, that closure led them to rediscover love.

In the finale episode (Episode 6), Jungo continues to try to talk to Hong to resolve the misunderstanding between them. Episode 5 hinted that they still had a chance to be together, showing that some things can still be fixed, especially for people like Jungo and Hong, who got caught up in life’s busyness.

One of my favorite parts of the episode was when Jungo was asked about what What Comes After Love?, especially since it was the title of the book. The interviewer expected an answer filled with regrets, questions, and doubts. But Jungo firmly responded that, for him, what comes after love is the understanding of love itself. I think this is so true. For me, the best thing we should learn after experiencing love is understanding. Love isn't just about happiness or sadness—it's a journey through all kinds of emotions. And understanding it fully is the most important thing that should come after love.

It took a lot of courage for both of them to move forward. But when they made the decision to try again, they both seemed genuinely happy. Earlier episodes showed how lonely they were, too busy with life to feel any real joy. Episode 6 focuses on them figuring out what should really come after their love. What is it really, and where will they go from here?

Luckily, the episode ended on a positive note, with Jungo deciding to stay in Korea to spend more time with Hong.
