The final episode of Seoul Busters has arrived, and it didn’t waste any time getting to the point. The team quickly showed their preparations and laid out their plan to prove that Professor Sim was the culprit behind the murder and attempted murder of Jeong Jeong-hwan. Each member of the team was assigned a specific task to gather evidence and build their case.
Jang Tan-sik was tasked with investigating whether Professor Sim had any scratches on his body, since they had found traces of what appeared to be cat scratches at the house of the murdered girl. However, they were unable to match the DNA because they didn’t have a sample of Sim’s DNA to compare it with.
When Tan-sik discovered a wound on Sim’s body, Mu Jeong-ryuk was assigned to break into Sim’s house to search for items that Sim had taken from his victim. Jeong-ryuk successfully found evidence, and because Tan-sik had discovered the wound, he was also tasked with looking for something containing Sim’s DNA. He managed to collect a strand of hair from Sim in the bathroom, which further connected him to the crime.
Meanwhile, Seo Min-seo was assigned to pretend to have found a USB with CCTV footage that would point to the suspect. This led to the moment when they were able to catch Professor Sim red-handed. The team’s preparation was methodical, and their efforts paid off when they were able to expose Sim’s crimes.
The story didn’t drag on with unnecessary details. Yoo-bin, for instance, learned the motive behind the murder of his girlfriend—it turned out that Professor Sim was driven by jealousy. Sim envied Yoo-bin for having everything, and in his twisted mind, he thought that eliminating something important to Yoo-bin would give him some sense of power. From the very beginning, it was clear to Yoo-bin that Sim was a suspect.
Once Sim was apprehended, things settled down, and the team returned to their normal work. However, Yoo-bin had to say his goodbyes as he was reassigned to headquarters. The episode opened with intense action, but once Sim was caught, the pace slowed down, allowing for a calm conclusion. Overall, it was a satisfying and well-executed finale that wrapped up the series’ 20-episode run.
