Kep1er return with new 6th mini album TIPI-TAP and title song of the same name.

Is this the first comeback by Kep1er after some members left the group and they get to continue on post their Produce- wait Girls planet? contract. Wow I have lost touch with the survival shows and names and groups spawning from them. It is truly not my world anymore. However, I always enjoyed these girls’ music they have released some bangers and I am glad to see them continue on post their limited contract era under a new label? I think? Anyway, the teasers for TIPI-TAP sounded pretty good to me and the concept photos had me intrigued. Let’s get into the review.

TIPI-TAP is a pretty tippy song that’s for such. I am not sure where this song fits in when it comes to the season and how I see this song opening up November’s K-pop month but it does have a bit of a lighter airy feel for me that kind of fits summer for me. Or even more of a spring mood? it is a very pastel focused comeback and it just doesn’t fit into the strong oranges of autumn for me personally. However, TIPI-TAP is still a pretty decent song. The girls fit into current trends with this but make it a bit more suited for the dance floor. TIPI-TAP Is definitely catchy, the hook gets the job done but overall the song’s vocals are a bit too airy for me to really say I love this. The song is still enjoyable I just don’t know about its longevity and if I am gonna remember this one in a week.

The mini album is pretty decent though I’d say I found some nice songs here and there and the song that stood out to me definitely has to be Drip. That was a banger and a half and has a bit more of a mysterious feeling to it and more groove no matter how repetitive the chorus might be. It is also definitely the stronger Drip song out of the two that dropped today.. Overall, the album and comeback is still a really decent effort and I think TIPI-TAP might grow on me with time.
