Girls Generation’s Taeyeon returns with her sixth mini album Letter To Myself and title song Letter To Myself.
My absolute queen is back. You all know I love Taeyeon a very normal amount and I was so excited for this new comeback to finally drop. I am also really grateful to Una for absolutely carrying the blog last week but I promise I am back this week to add my two cents to comebacks since my finger feels much better and I don’t feel like dying anymore. The concept pictures to Taeyeon’s new mini album looked absolutely stunning and had me more than excited to be honest. So let’s review.
Letter To Myself is exactly what I expected it to be it’s kind of a power balled but it has also a lot more oomph. The verses take a more melodic slow approach while the pre-chorus build up to this chorus you just know you’d scream at the top of your lungs while you are crying or at Taeyeon’s concert. I feel the “so many voices in my head line” because same why are there always demons telling me stuff. Anyway, I am absolutely loving Letter To Myself and it really fits Taeyeon’s vocal color and her overall discography. My queen of emotional songs delivered yet again.
I have to say the mini album is stacked with absolute goodies. I really enjoy the entire thing the songs that stuck out to me the most have to be Hot Mess and Disaster. Disaster absolutely goes really hard in my opinion and has to be my favorite song on the mini besides title song Letter To Myself. That chorus is just too good. All in all, Taeyeon didn’t disappoint as per usual. My queen.
