The story of Eun-ho’s two personalities, Eun-ho and Hyeri, continues in Episode 2 of Dear Hyeri. I’m still uncertain, torn between a 50-50 doubt, but I believe Eun-ho is aware of her split personality—though it's unclear whether she fully understands it. On one hand, she was able to register her correct name with the psychiatrist, suggesting she knows. On the other hand, there are times when she acts as though she doesn't.
Moving on, the story between Hyeri and Ju-yeon also develops. In one scene, Ju-yeon is attacked, and Hyeri saves him. They retreat to a secluded place to hide. Once the danger has passed, Hyeri looks at Ju-yeon and kisses him without hesitation before leaving. Ju-yeon is confused and tries to find her, seeking an explanation for her actions. When he confronts Hyeri, she struggles to find the words, and in his frustration, he shouts at her. This causes Hyeri to cry.
A misunderstanding grows from this interaction. Hyeri tries to explain herself by sending Ju-yeon a simple gift and a letter, leaving them on his table. In the letter, she admits that she likes him. After reading it, Ju-yeon goes to Hyeri. The clips show that, before this moment, he had noticed her but hadn’t given them much attention. However, after receiving her message, he went to her, she explains her side, and the misunderstanding is resolved. They reconcile and decide to spend time together, though without any clear destination in mind. Eventually, they end up at Ju-yeon’s house, where Hyeri spends the night.
The next morning, Hyeri wakes up as Eun-ho in Ju-yeong place. she hurriedly went out when she notices she wasn't in her house. Eun-ho’s reaction to waking up in an unfamiliar place makes her realize something is wrong, though she doesn't yet fully process it. With her mind still clouded, she accepts a job coverage, leading to a thrilling turn of events when she discovers a dead body. Without going into further detail, I can say that the story is becoming more exciting. With two personalities and two love interests, one for each personality, this is sure to lead to even bigger complications, and I’m eager to see how they will develop.
This series continues to raise my expectations, especially with how they incorporated the thrilling moment of Eun-ho discovering the dead body. The writers are doing a great job of playing with the storyline, and I admire how they’re handling it. There’s a lot of potential for the story to grow, and I can’t wait to see if it will meet or even exceed my expectations.
