In the opening scenes of Episode 7 of A Virtuous Business, we see why Han Jun-seok is running away from a former male classmate. She discovers, a few minutes after arriving at the man's house, that something is off—his wife is not home, which was the reason she thought she was there. She also realizes that the man's intentions toward her are far from innocent. Realizing the danger, Jun-seok bolts, leading to a tense chase until Kim Do-hyun arrives just in time to save her.
The business they are involved in is not safe from people with ill intentions. Often, when you sell adult products, people mistakenly think you are a bad person or even that you’re selling yourself. This risk is ever-present, and when Jun-seok experiences it firsthand, it deeply traumatizes her. The experience has made her anxious—when invited to present products, she feels uncomfortable, especially when a man opens the door, and she often finds herself running away rather than dealing with the situation.
The incident also becomes the talk of the community. Jun-seok is initially afraid of facing everyone, fearing judgment and reprimand. However, what happens next is unexpected: instead of scolding her, people rally together to support her and seek justice for the trauma she experienced. This heartwarming response offers a refreshing twist, showing that not all people are quick to judge.
Sometimes, I forget that this series is a comedy due to such serious moments. Fortunately, the creators balance these heavy themes with light-hearted, funny scenes, like the makeup moments, police station antics, and other humorous situations. I'm not sure where the series is headed next, but it's clear that Jun-seok and Do-hyun’s relationship is evolving. However, what is Do-hyun really searching for? What other secrets does he have, aside from being the child left behind in the burning house?
