2024 IDOL STAR ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS

MBC’s legendary “Idol Star Athletics Championships” special will return to air for the first time in two years. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the special typically aired twice a year (once during the Lunar New Year holiday in the winter and once during the Chuseok holiday in the fall)—but due to COVID-19, the show took a three-year hiatus before returning during Chuseok 2022.

2024 Chuseok special, which will feature idols going head-to-head in five main event categories: track and field, archery, futsal, dance sports, and the newly added street dance.

The “2024 Idol Star Athletics Championships” will air in several parts over the Chuseok holiday from September 16 to 18.

Info After two years, ISAC is back stronger than ever! World-famous artists gather and celebrate this sports festival. Besides fierce battles among veteran idols and super rookies, you can enjoy popular games, including track and field, archery, dance sport, breakdancing, and futsal. This year, you will be joined by seven hosts, namely Jun Hyun Moo, ISAC's walking encyclopedia, talented sportsman Jang Min Ho, YoungTak, the ambassador of KSOC, versatile singer Lee Chan Won who commentates like a pro, Kang Daniel who brings both talent and sport expertise, all-round idol Haewon, and trot prince Jeong Dong Won. Of course, you wouldn't want to miss the intriguing scenes created by the hosts. Come and join the sports festival where you can see different charms of many idols and check out who will bring home the glorious title of "Athlete Idol!"

It's the last day of the Idol Star Athletics Championships, and it starts off with the Mixed Team Archery. The event's favorites must compete against the newbies who show an amazing performance. Dancesport is held next, and six wonderful dancers collaborate with professional dancers to put on amazing performances. Lastly, it's a 400m relay, the highlight of the championships.
