INFINITE’s Kim Myungsoo, How Can I Not Love You 24/7?

INFINITE’s L (Kim Myungsoo) returns with his first EP 24/7 and title song What’s Not To Love.

L is back, baby! I was recently listening to INFINITE’s last year’s album and thinking how absolutely insane it was that even happened – Time Difference is still one of my biggest obsessions and I cannot talk enough about how good that song is and how much it deserved a music video. I always enjoy some L solo activities, especially when it’s music, and it’s nice that he had the opportunity to pursue both music and acting this year because he does both well. I’d love to see him again in a healing drama because I feel like his overall vibe always really suits that kind of genre. Either way, let’s dive into Myungsoo’s newest music and enjoy some warm summer breeze along the way. Let’s review!

How Can I Not Love You is, exactly what I said earlier, a summer breeze of a song that will put you in a nice mood right away. It’s soft and sweet and suits Myungsoo’s vocals. I always enjoy that he has such aesthetically pleasing videos and I feel like this one really goes well with How Can I Not Love You and its general atmosphere. The pastel colour palette, the hazy filter, the seaside scenery… so pleasant to the eye and combined with Myungsoo’s vocals, pleasant to the ears as well. I’ll forever be biased when it comes to INFINITE, whether they’re doing their group or solo work, and I specifically have a soft spot for Myungsoo and his activities. I feel like he has progressed so much as a vocalist as well (I will never get over his parts in Clock) and it’s a joy seeing him enjoy his artistry the way he wants to. A sweet song, a cute music video and both of them feel like a warm hug.

From this new EP, I really like the upbeat summer track Blue Summer a lot. It’s so fun and it’s nice hearing Myungsoo tackle some more upbeat sound – he uses his higher register so nicely in this song! The instrumental in the chorus is also so fun and catchy and I really feel like this is a true hidden gem on the EP. I’ll enjoy it this August.

A hard-working king will always get praises from me – the fact that he provides us with sweet music and good dramas is just a cherry on top. Now, let me go and groove to Blue Summer!
