ASTRO’s Sanha debuts solo with his first mini album Dusk and title song Dive.
I have had a day so I am really sorry for this review to coming so late but I had to send some support to our boy. I can’t believe our baby Sanha is finally getting a solo debut? This has been a long time coming. We all knew how talented Sanha is starting off as an Astro member and his duo work he did with our beloved Moonbin. So this solo debut is well deserved and I highly anticipated it as well. Let me stop yapping the concept photos did the pre excitement work and now the music will do the talking. Let’s review.
Dive has aesthetically more of a fall/winter vibe. It is a darker sounding slower song and it makes me wonder if this song was supposed to come out earlier during the year? However, I love how much emotion is in this song. Dive is dark, it’s mysterious and catchy. Like the build up to this fantastic chorus is everything to me. Sanha is making it even better with his vocal tone and the song just absolutely caught my ear. Dive has early Taemin vibes for me and it fits into the earlier Sanha/Moonbin work. Dive is moody, it is sensual in a way and so much vocal power. Sanha kind of ate with this solo debut and it fits him like a glove. The music video is visually also really stunning.
I sadly haven’t had the time to fully Dive into Dusk (pun intended), but I am sure the b-sides will have a lot to offer.
