GOT7’s BamBam Turns It Up For His Last Parade

GOT7’s Bambam returns to us with his third mini album Bamesis and title song Last Parade.

Now this is a comeback I have been excited for. I miss GOT7 so much and I have to admit in retrospect the moment their contracts were up and group activities have been scarce my interest in any other groups besides SHINee has really dwelled. I just miss them a lot and as much as I enjoy the solo activities especially BamBam has been carrying me with his super unique and fun releases. The concept photos for this release looked intense and had me intrigued so let’s get into the review!

Last Parade is much darker than BamBam’s previous releases but it is a lot of fun. I’ve been listening to this since it came out yesterday and it just keeps growing on me. Especially that pre-chorus is so good? I love how the song plays with different moods and while the pre-chorus is by far the best part of the song and not the like more mellow and dark chorus it all works for what BamBam was trying to do with the song. It has versatility and a good groove to it. Last Parade shows us a different side and almost feels more like art and music. I have parts of the song I really love and I don’t find any of the mismatched parts too grating as it all comes together pretty nicely. I am excited to see how the song will age though. Overall, a solid comeback and more proof what a fantastic soloist BamBam is.

Let’s have a look at the mini album because oh is this filled with goodies! I have to say Must Be Nice is fantastic I really like this song and how much of a Taylor Swift vibe it has? This could be straight up on one of her earlier albums. My favorite song by far on this album has to be the latin pop inspired bop Mi Ultimo Deseo because this song just absolutely eats? I love the summer vibes the song is giving me and how I am grooving to it. BamBam really delivered a solid mini album! King!
