Winner’s Seunghoon makes his solo return with first mini album My Type and title song of the same name.
Okay this review might be a tad late but honestly, I saw that the next 2 weeks are going to be dry when it comes to K-Pop comebacks because of the olympics so I thought writing this review during that draught would be perfect. I think you all remember how much I love Hoony and that he is my bias in WINNER so I was more than excited when he announced his very first solo album. And now that the performance video for it is out it is the perfect time to review it. Let’s get into it.
My Type fits Seunghoon very, very well when it comes to his style. He is a fun guy that is a performer and My Type offers him all of that. The song is groovy to the max, I am absolutely vibing to it and it is catchy, Hoony’s vocals are insane in this, I love when he goes all smooth, but My Type also let’s Hoony show off his qualities as a rapper and I think that just showcases how insane of a performer he is. He can do it all, sing rap and most importantly dance. I wish I knew why My Type ‘s concept in the music video are sexy cowboys but also I am weirdly here for it. Hoony reliever a fun pop dance track. Overall, I got a new summer banger to enjoy and I am more than here for it.
I gotta admit even though this came out a while ago I haven’t had time to listen to the whole EP because I couldn’t find it on Apple Music for the longest of times… I will get into it now though, but I love that the cover photo for it is a damn toast. (P.S: my style are nerdy gamer boys or pretty and cute girls that make me too shy to talk to them, bye)
