EVERGLOW, the six-member girl group under Yue Hua Entertainment that debuted on March 18, 2019 with the single album "Arrival of EVERGLOW", made a comeback today on June 10, 2024 with their fifth single album "ZOMBIE" and the same-titled song as the album's title track. The single album will contain three tracks and the physical release will come out in two CD / photobook versions: Pulse and Heart version. This single album is the follow-up to the group's fourth single album "All My Girls" that was released on August 18, 2023 with "Slay" as as the single's title track.

Review
"Poongdung" is an upbeat, summery title track filled with an infectious, youthful energy. The song features a funky vintage sound with groovy rhythms, and the repeated onomatopoeia "poongdung" mimicking a refreshing splash. Filmed in sunny Lisbon, Portugal, the music video captures the carefree, youthful energy of summer as the members dance, play, and frolic into the cool blue waters. Lyrically, "Poongdung" expresses the determination to fall in love without hesitation, delivered in a transparent and intuitive way.
Though promoting as six with Belle's temporary absence, cignature seems poised to solidify their "summer queens" status with this new release. Unfortunately, the song sounds rather generic and lacks a memorable chorus and the necessary hook to make it a proper summer anthem. The basic elements are all there but there isn't anything exceptional to make it stand out. It is definitely a solid comeback, but I can't see it earning the group any new fans.

Cignature (시그니처), the currently six-member girl group under C9 Entertainment that debuted on February 4, 2020 with the digital single "Nun Nu Nan Na", made a come today on June 10, 2024 with their fifth EP album "Sweetie But Saltie" and the song "Poongdung 풍덩" as the album's title track. The album will contain four tracks and the physical release will come out in two CD / photobook versions: Sweetie and Saltie version. This album is the follow-up to the group's fourth EP album "Us in the Summer" that was released on August 29, 2023 with "Smooth Sailing" as the album's title track.
C9 Entertainment issued a statement on January 18, 2024 informing that Cignature member Belle's debut with the project girl-group UNIS would prevent her from engaging in any forthcoming activities with Cignature. Consequently, the group will proceed with promotions as a six-member ensemble.
